By the end of this level, learners are expected to have developed the following language competencies:

Listening:
Learners demonstrate the ability to comprehend simple expressions and sentences used in everyday situations on familiar topics. They can follow short conversations and dialogues to extract essential information and identify main points.

Speaking:
Learners can actively participate in daily conversations related to family, hobbies, travel, and routine activities. They are able to express personal preferences, provide simple instructions, and describe experiences clearly using familiar vocabulary and coherent sentences.

Reading:
Learners can understand short texts, simple articles, and factual information on familiar subjects. They can interpret meaning from context and identify essential details such as names, dates, and locations.

Writing:
Learners are able to produce short, structured texts such as simple letters, notes, and postcards. They can organize ideas logically, use connected and clear sentences, and include relevant daily-life details.

Grammar:
Learners gain proficiency in basic and slightly more advanced grammatical structures, including the simple past tense, future expressions, the use of adjectives and simple comparisons, constructing basic sentences and everyday questions, and applying pronouns and linking words to enhance clarity and cohesion.

Vocabulary:
Learners expand their lexical range to include essential words and expressions used in daily life, covering greetings, personal information, family, routines, places, food and beverages, and leisure activities.

Culture and Communication:
Learners develop awareness of cultural norms and daily practices in English-speaking countries. They practice polite language and adapt their communication style appropriately to various social contexts.
